[ARCHIVED] Sang Ave. (Between Cleveland St. & Maple Ave)

05/04/15 to 05/23/15
6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will close Sang Ave. (Between Cleveland St. and Maple Ave.) for asphalt overlay.

Oil will be sprayed approximately thirty minutes before the placement of the asphalt overlays. If necessary you may drive on the oil before the asphalt is placed. Please drive slowly and use care. Driving fast will throw the oil on your vehicle and endanger the crew. (Note: If oil is thrown on your car, it can be removed with WD-40 spray and paper towels.)

Through traffic will be detoured to alternate routes, and detour signs will be in place. During work hours (6:00am to 4:00pm) please do not park on the street as this may interfere with the construction work. During these times the street will be closed to thru traffic. Residents will be allowed access their homes as needed. We will work to minimize traffic delays, however please allow extra time. Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

Small piles of debris/asphalt may be left at the edge of the street; these will be removed the next day. (If not removed within two days please call the office

Please note that rain could delay work and extend overall construction time of this project.

On the behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we express our appreciation in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. We regret the inconvenience this may cause; however, this will allow needed improvements to be made.

If you have any further questions or comment, please feel free to contact Joey Smith at Jsmith@fayetteville-ar.gov or call the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at (479) 575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
