Sidewalk Construction on Carriage Way Will Restrict Traffic to One Lane

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division is installing a new five-foot-wide sidewalk along the west side of Carriage Way between Beaver Lane and Wedington Drive. Construction will begin on Thursday, April 26 and is to be complete in six weeks.  Work will take place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The construction work will require restricting traffic to one lane on Carriage Way during work hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Residents will be allowed access during work hours. Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment. The street will be reopened to full traffic nights and weekends.

The City’s annual Sidewalk Program projects include a mix of replacement work and new construction to improve pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity in Fayetteville. To learn more, please visit this webpage.

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at 479-575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
