Sidewalk Improvements to Close Section of E. Dickson Street

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division is replacing a section of deteriorated sidewalk along the north side of E. Dickson Street (between Washington and Willow Avenues) and will require closing that section of the roadway during the work hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. Residents will be allowed access as needed. The street will be reopened to thru traffic on nights and weekends. The project starts Wednesday, March 28 and is estimated to be complete in four weeks.

Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

The City’s annual Sidewalk Program projects include a mix of replacement work and new construction to improve pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity in Fayetteville. To learn more, please visit this webpage.

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at 479-575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
