Community Resources to Host “Progress in Print” Event Celebrating Community Development Programs
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville’s Community Resources Division is hosting “Progress in Print,” an event highlighting the variety of programs funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Join our dedicated staff to celebrate 2018 National Community Development Week on Wednesday, March 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center (15. W. Mountain Street). Enjoy light refreshments as you learn about CDBG-funded community programs, including Housing Rehabilitation and Repair, Transportation Assistance, the Hearth Program, and others. This event is free and open to the public.
The City of Fayetteville has been providing much-needed services to low-to-moderate income residents in our community for over 40 years. The fiscal year 2019 Federal Budget proposes eliminating the CDBG program. “Progress in Print” will provide an opportunity to learn about the impact of CDBG projects in our own city. CDBG serves as the cornerstone of the federal government’s commitment to partnering with state and local governments to strengthen communities like Fayetteville, improving the quality of life for those in need.
For more information about the event or any of the available CDBG programs, please call the Community Resources Division at 479-575-8260, or visit the Community Development section of the City’s website.
