Sidewalk Improvements Along Columbus Boulevard

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division is replacing a section of deteriorated sidewalk along the northwest side of Columbus Boulevard, near Applebury Drive. Work take place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting on Monday, March 12. The project is estimated to be complete in three weeks.

The construction work will require restricting traffic to one lane on Columbus Boulevard during work hours; however, residents will be allowed access. The street will be reopened to thru traffic on nights and weekends.

Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

The City’s annual Sidewalk Program projects include a mix of replacement work and new construction to improve pedestrian and bicyclist connectivity in Fayetteville. To learn more, please visit this webpage.

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at 479-575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
