New Year’s Eve Fireworks, Downtown Square Events, and Parking Information

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Fayetteville Fire Marshals Office and the State Fire Marshal have approved a permit for a fireworks display during Last Night Fayetteville – fireworks will be discharged for approximately five minutes starting at 12 a.m. on January 1, 2018.

The Fire Marshals Office reminds everyone that the City of Fayetteville does not allow discharge of consumer fireworks inside city limits on New Year’s Eve. The City issues a media release regarding approved firework displays so that citizens can make accommodations for individuals and animals affected by displays. To sign up to receive notifications, please visit this webpage.

Last Night Fayetteville is a ticketed, all ages event held annually on New Year’s Eve at locations around the Downtown Square. Streets surrounding the square gardens close to traffic at 4 p.m. on December 31. Event producers request that cars be moved prior to 4 p.m.

The annual Lights of the Ozarks display ends on Sunday, December 31.

There will be no charge for parking in Fayetteville’s two parking districts, Dickson Street Entertainment District and Downtown Square, on Monday – January 1, 2018.

The City of Fayetteville, Fayetteville Fire Department, and Fayetteville Police Department wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.
