CLARIFICATION: North Street Closure at Arkansas & Missouri Railroad Tracks
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas and Missouri Railroad is performing railroad crossing reconstruction and signal work at its W. North Street crossing from 7 a.m. on Saturday, December 16 through 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17. W. North Street will be closed to thru traffic from Garland Avenue to Gregg Avenue. Detours will be marked to use W. Sycamore Street for crossing the railroad tracks.
All entries to businesses and residences will be accessible during the construction.
PLEASE NOTE: W. North Street, near the railroad track will be closed to all traffic in the work zone including cyclists and pedestrians. The work zone extends 75-feet east of the track (toward Gregg) and 75-feet west of the track toward the Razorback Greenway/Leverett Avenue. The closure will last approximately 33 hours from 7 a.m. on Saturday, December 16 through 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 17.
To access businesses and residences:
- East side of the railroad tracks – use Gregg Avenue
- West side of the railroad tracks – use Leverett Avenue (trail users can access via the Razorback Greenway)
Drivers should use caution when crossing the Razorback Greenway Trail.
