The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will close Sang Ave. (between Halsell Rd. and Cleveland Ave.), Halsell Rd. (between Sang Ave. and Cross Ave.), Cross Ave. (between Halsell Rd. and Markham Rd), and Markham Rd. (between Cross Ave. and Razorback Rd.) to begin asphalt milling.
Construction will begin on Monday, May 4, 2015. The road will remain closed until the milling is complete. Once the milling is complete on Sang Ave. the Transportation Division will then begin milling Halsell Rd. between Sang Ave. and Cross Ave. Then we will mill Markham Rd. between Cross Ave. and Razorback Rd. Once the milling is complete on these streets, we will begin the overlay process.
We estimate construction time to be approximately three (3) weeks. Please note that rain could delay work and extend overall construction time of this project. Work hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Through traffic will be detoured to alternate routes, and detour signs will be in place. Residents will be allowed access their homes at all times but should expect some delays. Residents will receive a one-day notice before work will begin on their street. Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.
On the behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we express our appreciation in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. We regret the inconvenience this may cause; however, this will allow needed improvements to be made.
