02/25/2015 to 05/01/15
7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
Markham Rd will be closed for construction activities during these times. Residents will be allowed access please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.
The work will include installing storm drain pipe, curbing and a new sidewalk (south side only). We estimate construction time to be approximately 10 weeks. (Please note extreme weather could delay work and extend overall construction time on the project.)
We will make every effort to give full access to your property during the construction process. However, construction will require removal and replacement of a portion of your driveway approach. Your driveway approach will be modified to allow the sidewalk to be constructed to current ADA standards. Existing approaches will be removed and gravel placed temporary to allow continued use of your drive until the fresh concrete is poured. After the new concrete has been poured, you will be unable to use the driveway approach for approximately two (2) days. This will allow the concrete to cure and gain the necessary strength to support traffic loads. (The crew foreman will work with each resident on the exact schedule.)
Please not: If you have flowers, shrubs, sprinkler systems or other items which will need to be moved or protected with in the work area (15 feet from the edge of the street) please notify the crew foreman or call the Transportation Division office to make arrangements.
On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. We regret the inconvenience this may cause, however this ill allow needed improvements to be made.
