Help clean up streamside areas to protect our local waterways!

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN AND THE CHANCE OF STRONG WINDS AND LIGHTNING.

Details: The Beaver Watershed Alliance will host the West Fork – White River Cleanup on Saturday, May 21, in partnership with multiple community partners. Volunteers will help remove litter and bulky waste in the West Fork watershed, sub-watershed of Beaver Lake.

Where: Check-in will be at Riverside Park in West Fork, and Walker Park in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville: Walker Park Large Pavilion,  10 W 15th St, Fayetteville, AR 72701  (36.049450, -94.159028)
West Fork: Riverside Park, AR-170 (Main Street) West Fork, AR 72774 (35.927603, -94.183729)

There will be multiple cleanup options ranging from trail, land, in-stream, and floating (must provide your own boat and shuttle).
Return to Riverside Park by Noon for free food, music, and raffle prizes!

What is provided: Gloves, tools, water, snacks, and cleanup supplies will be provided.
Free lunch and raffle prizes will also be provided for volunteers.

What to bring/wear: Dress in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and protective clothing; hip-waders and muck boots are encouraged for those wanting to participate in in-stream cleanup areas.

For more info and to volunteer, contact: info@beaverwatershedalliance.org or 479-750-8007 (text or call). RSVP is required for the float cleanup to receive location. For general cleanup areas, RSVP is appreciated but not required.
