Bulky Waste Cleanups

The Recycling and Trash Collection Division sponsors eight bulky waste cleanups per year (four in the spring and four in the fall) for the disposal of large bulky items that will not fit in your trash cart. There are two drop-off locations for each event. Please bring large trailers to the Happy Hollow location for easier off-loading.

These cleanups are free and for Fayetteville residents only; a recent copy of a Fayetteville utility bill or a valid driver's license are required to verify residency.

Note: Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials will not be accepted at the fall events. HHW can be brought to the HHW Drop-off Trailer at S. Happy Hollow Road and 15th Street each Thursday 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Electronic waste will be accepted on all four dates at the Recycling and Trash Collection facility, located at 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road.

Bulky Waste Pick-Ups

Only one category type of items may be selected for curbside bulky waste pick-up. See categories below.

You can opt to forfeit your free curbside pick-up and, instead bring up to five accepted items from multiple categories to the Transfer Station for free. You will need to bring a copy of your current Fayetteville Utility Bill and your driver's license. Additional bulky waste pick-ups of up to five items within the same category can be scheduled for $60.53 plus tax. A rescheduling fee will apply for missed appointments.
