Please carefully review all information on the citation that you signed, promising to appear at the time and date specified.
Payment of Fines
The court accepts payment by cash, check, money order or cashier's check. Checks and money orders may be payable to the Fayetteville District Court and can also be sent through the mail. Please include the citation number on the check. Cash payments and credit or debit card payments can be made in person at the Fayetteville Police Department cashier's window located at 1800 N. Stephen Carr Memorial Blvd. You can also make a payment online at eCourtPay (ecourtpay.com).
Pleading Not Guilty
If you wish to plead not guilty, you must either:
Enter your not guilty plea at the clerks window and you will be given a trial date.
Appear on your court date before the Judge and you will be given a trial date by the clerk.
Proof of Correction
Some violations are dismissed upon proof of correction. Other violations may require proof of correction and the payment of a $95 court fee.
Failure to Appear
Failure to appear in court as you have promised will result in the following actions:
You will be charged with a failure to appear, which is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine, jail or both.
The Court may notify the State Driver Control of your failure to appear.
