What is This Project?

This project includes construction of a ½ mile long, 12-foot-wide shared use paved trail from Rupple Road east to the current end of Hamestring Creek Trail near Salem Road. This project is a trail bond funded cost share with a developer.   

Why is it Important?

With the rapid growth in this part of town, many people are using the newly completed Rupple Road Trail and Mount Comfort road. This project will provide a shared use paved trail alternative to Mount Comfort Road for active transportation users to access to the Meadow Valley Trail and the Midtown Trail.  

What is the Current Status?

Project is in the design phase.

When Will it be Completed?

Completion is estimated for 2024. 

How is it Funded?

Funding for the City’s portion of the project comes from the trails part of the Bond Issue approved by voters April 9th, 2019 through a cost share with the developer.
