Parking Rates


Downtown Square

Two-hour free parking for up to two consecutive hours within a four-hour time period.

You must leave the Square on or before two hours have passed from the time you first arrived. You may not return to the Square until four hours have passed from the time you first arrived. This ensures that these spaces are made available for customers visiting the area businesses and restaurants.

On-Street Meters

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Short-term (near Square): $0.50 per hour (Two-hour limit)
  • Long-term: $ 0.50 per hour (No time limit)

Saturday - Sunday

  • Free all day

Surface Parking Lots 

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • $0.25 per hour at pay stations.

Saturday - Sunday

  • Free All Day

Town Center Parking Deck

Location: W. Rock Street between N. Block Ave and N. East Ave., south of the Town Center

  • $4 per entry (Daily Use only)
  • Monthly parking permits are available

Meadow Street Municipal Parking Deck

Location: W. Meadow Street behind the Graduate Hotel, near College Avenue

  • Level 1: $4 per entry
  • Level 2: Reserved for monthly parking program participants
  • Level 3: $3 per entry

Gated Municipal Parking Lots

Location: 211 W. Mountain Street

  • Weekdays: Restricted to City employees
  • Friday (4:30 p.m.) - Sunday (5 p.m.): Free to the public

Location: 42 W. Meadow Street

  • Weekdays: Restricted to Card Holders
  • Friday (4:30 p.m.) - Sunday (11 a.m.): Free to the public

Parking Programs (Permits)

The City of Fayetteville offers a variety of parking programs for the Downtown Business District. Applicable fees for these programs (listed below) are billed on a quarterly basis and are payable in advance.

Parking Programs

  • Gated lots are accessible with a parking card at a cost of $30 per month per space. Customers will be billed quarterly for a total cost of $90. 
  • The Meadow Street Municipal Parking Deck (2nd level), located behind the Graduate Hotel, is accessible with a parking card and provides covered parking in non-designated spaces at a cost of $40 per month per space. Customers will be billed quarterly for a total cost of $120.
  • Temporary parking permits are for construction-use only and must be displayed from the rear-view mirror while the vehicle is parked. Fees vary depending on the required parking area.

Downtown Square Business District Permit

A Downtown Square Business District Permit can be purchased for use in any of the five (5) surface lots in the Downtown Square Business District without having to pay at the pay station or via the ParkMobile app. The permit is virtual and is tied to the vehicle's license plate. Multiple license plates may be associated with one permit, however only one license plate may be in use at a given time.

Available permits for the Downtown Business District include:

  • Daily: $5
  • Monthly: $30
  • Annual: $360

A permit can be purchased online in the City of Fayetteville's Parking Permit System portal.

Town Center Deck Permit

A Town Center Deck Permit can be purchased for use in the Town Center Parking Deck, located on the south side of the Town Center, without having to pay via the ParkMobile app. The Town Center Deck provides covered parking in non-designated spaces at a cost of $4 per entry, $50 per month, or $600 per year. The permit is virtual and is tied to the vehicle’s license plate. Multiple license plates may be associated with one permit, however only one license plate may be in use at a given time.
