Cold Weather Warming Shelters

Cold weather sheltering systems in Fayetteville generally open once outdoor temperatures reach a wind chill temperature of 15 degrees or colder. Anyone in need of shelter should call 211 for information on available locations and transportation to shelters.

The City of Fayetteville provides funding to the following organizations for the operation of cold weather warming shelters and associated services:

  • Seven Hills Homeless Center
  • Genesis Church
  • New Beginnings
  • Salvation Army
  • Central United Methodist Church
  • United Way of Northwest Arkansas
  • Northwest Arkansas Continuum of Care

These organizations provide emergency sheltering support for community members experiencing homelessness who need a safe, warm place to stay during extreme weather events.
