After School Program
During the fall and spring semesters, we offer an after school program for ages Kindergarten to 6th grade from 3-6 p.m. on Monday through Friday
We provide fun and structured programming that includes educational enrichment and homework assistance. Youth are fed a snack provided by the Fayetteville Public Schools Child Nutrition Department. Additional activities include field trips, cooking, gardening, games, crafts, computer coding, physical education, outdoor education, and so much more!
X-Factor Home School Physical Education
The YRCC offers a low-cost weekly physical education class for children enrolled in home-school to ensure that participants receive training in Health and Fitness as part of their studies. Classes teach the fundamentals of warm-up, physical activity, teamwork, health education, and nutrition all while partnering with local organizations to enhance and expand learning opportunities.
X-Factor is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11 a.m. during the fall and spring semesters.
Junior High After School Program
NEW to YRCC is an after school program just for teens. Junior High (7-8th grade) students can join us once a week (Wednesdays from 4-6pm) for tutoring, snacks, sports, video games, and a monthly field trip. This program will be focused on social, physical, emotional wellbeing and will include service learning components for teens.
Girls on the Run
YRCC serves as a community host site for the Girls on the Run program of Northwest Arkansas. The "Heart & Sole" program is for girls in 6-8th grades. GOTR will meet once a week for 10 weeks, on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm. Registration is through Girls of the Run of NWA. This wonderful collaborative opportunity affords young ladies the chance to have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels, and learn important life skills.
Preschool Playtime
This is a special (free!) open gym time for ages 2-4 years and their caregivers. It features our imagination playground and obstacle course.

Kid Crops Gardening
The ARPA award-winning Kid Crops program gives children the opportunity to learn about gardening and nutrition, while planting and harvesting their own crops with Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Horticulturists.
Kid Crops is offered seasonally throughout the school year as a part of our after school program on Wednesday evenings from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the garden located on YRCC’s premises.
YRCC's summer gardening program is available from 9-10 a.m. to youth registered for Summer Fun4Kids Camp.
Spring Break Camp
This one-week camp provides kids with a fun and active way to spend their spring break. The camp is open to children between the ages of 6 - 12 years old. This program is held at a low cost fee but space is very limited.
Summer Fun4Kids and Teens Camp
Join us at the Yvonne Richardson Community Center for a fun-filled summer at our Summer Fun4Kids Camp (SF4K)! We have eight weeks of themed day camps. Every week we go on field trips, play games, swim, do crafts, and explore the world around us. Our Summer Fun4Kids camp is for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade. Lunch and afternoon snack is provided for all campers by Fayetteville Public Schools Child Nutrition Department Summer Lunch and Snack Program.
Our teen camp is exclusively for students who have completed 6th through 8th grade. In addition to our regularly scheduled field trips teen campers will go on a unique adventures separate from the kids camp.
- Registration begins in March with camps starting in June.
Summer Fun4Kids Junior Counselor Program
This leadership opportunity is for teens that have completed at least one year of high school. An application and reference are required. Limited spots for each week are available.

Fitness Classes
YRCC offers a variety of fitness classes for adults throughout the year. Attendees can pre-register or drop in. Each class is $3.00. Classes are Saturday mornings at 10 a.m.
Spring 2023 classes will begin on March 11 and conclude on May 20. This year's offerings will include Cardio Dance (second Saturday of each month) and Self-Defense (third Saturday of each month) for the months of March, April, and May. See our full schedule for more information.

Adult Pickleball
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. (except in summer), the YRCC offers two courts for adults to play pickleball. YRCC invites players of all ages and all skill levels to join. Equipment is provided. Join the "YRCC Pickleball Pals" Facebook group to connect with other players and meet up at the center!
Open Family Gym
Please check our calendar for Open Gym time, it can change depending on rentals and programming! During family gym everyone is invited to come and be active. Basketballs and other athletic equipment available.

Annual Egg Hunt
Each year, prior to the Easter holiday, YRCC organizes a large Egg Hunt for families to experience: food, community, fun, thousands of eggs, and prizes. Pre-registering for the event will help get you in the door faster!
Annual Holiday Bingo
Each Fall, the YRCC offers an event where adults ages 18 and up can enjoy Bingo! Several games will be played for the chance to win all sorts of prizes including: gift cards to restaurants, movie passes, toys, etc. We welcome all to join us and be merry.

The doors of the YRCC are open to all citizens of all ages. However, any child under 6 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All programs offered at the YRCC are for persons 6 years old and up.
