Stream restoration project that would address major erosion currently damaging private property in the area just west of Sandpiper Drive (Ward 3).
This project would help alleviate the continued erosion and loss of private property as well as reduce the amount of pollutants being discharged into our streams and waterbodies.
The City was recently awarded a $300,000 grant from the EPA to match bond dollars in order to complete the Scull Creek and Niokaska Creek Stream Restoration projects.
Design and construction are scheduled to be completed by Fall 2022.
Funding for the project comes from the Bond Issue approved by voters in April 2019 and the EPA grant.
