What is this Project?
This project will complete a missing section of the Tsa La Gi Trail across Razorback Road just south of MLK Jr. Blvd. and create a continuous 5 mile loop trail.
Why is it Important?
Due to the proximity to the University of Arkansas and Fayetteville High School, the Tsa La Gi Trail is heavily used by students. Currently there is a gap in the trail at Razorback Road and this project will make the final connection providing a safe way for the significant number of students to reach their destination by walking or bicycling.
When originally constructed in 2014, the Tsa La Gi trail had to stop at the east side of Razorback Road due to property challenges. Since that time, a new trail alignment has been designed with a signalized crossing of Razorback Road. A new student housing development is under construction on the west side of Razorback Road and will soon build the trail connection the Tsa La Gi Trail
What is the Current Status?
This project is complete.
How is it Funded?
Funding for the City’s portion of the project comes from the Bond Issue that voters approved in April, 2019.
