What is this Project?
Improvements include installation of a traffic signal to manage traffic, connection of sidewalks on either side of the railroad tracks near the intersection, partial road widening, signage and pavement marking, retaining wall construction and drainage improvements.
Why is It Important?
This multi-lane 4-way stop is inefficient and difficult to traverse safely. With large volumes of traffic from nearby industries and the University of Arkansas athletic facilities, improvements are necessary to provide a sufficient level of service.
