Bus Service

Bus service within the City is provided by Ozark Regional Transit, a public transportation service, and Razorback Transit, the University of Arkansas' transportation service. All bus routes within the City of Fayetteville are free.  

ORT: Ozark Regional Transit

ORT travels within Fayetteville, as well as up I-49 to Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville to the North. All routes within the City of Fayetteville are free. 

Razorback Transit

Razorback Transit is operated by the University of Arkansas.  All fares are free. The bus routes can also be seen on Google Maps. To use, simply go to Google Maps and click on Directions; after that, put in the name or address of your Fayetteville or Northwest Arkansas destination, then tap on the bus icon, and the appropriate Razorback Transit routes will be visible.

School Year Service

Full transit service is provided Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on class days throughout the Fall and Spring semesters (mid- August to mid- May) including final exam days. 

Reduced bus service is provided from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters (mid-August to mid-May). 

Saturday service is provided 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. during the same months. 

Non-Service Dates

  • Regular routes are not operated on home football game days.
  • Razorback bus service is not provided on official University of Arkansas holidays. 

Summer and Christmas/New Year Break Service

Reduced service is provided from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the summer (mid May to mid August) and during the Christmas and New Year break.  

UA Student "Safe Ride"

The University of Arkansas' Safe Ride program was established to provide UA students with a safe means of transportation from any uncomfortable or inconvenient situation when other ride options are unavailable. During operating hours, Safe Ride can pick UA students up at any location within the Fayetteville city limits and transport them to their residence. 

Hours of Operation

Safe Ride Service operates Wednesday through Saturday nights from 11:00 pm to 3:00 am and provides service from anywhere in the Fayetteville city limits to the student's official residence. Safe Ride Night Owl Service operates Monday and Tuesday nights, from 10:30 pm to 1:00 a.m. and provides service ON CAMPUS only.    

How to Ride

Call 479-575-SAFE (7233). A dispatcher will ask for information such as your location, your student ID number, and your destination. The dispatcher will provide an estimated time for the arrival of your ride. The van will then transport you to your residence. You are allowed to have up to three (3) guests with you on the ride.
