Welcome to Fayetteville!
"No matter the color of your skin, where you’re from, who you love, or your religious beliefs, know that we welcome you here in Fayetteville. Today and every day."
-- Lioneld Jordan, Mayor, City of Fayetteville
Fayetteville is an engaged, progressive community that cares deeply about equality, civic involvement, and inclusion. When families and individuals from other countries arrive here--whether as new Americans, permanent residents, or visitors on a student or work visa--we want you to thrive and flourish in our community.
While Fayetteville’s foreign-born population is small compared to that of the metro area at large--it currently sits at just 7.1 percent--we value your economic and cultural contributions, and believe that diversity makes Fayetteville a richer, more interesting, and more welcoming place to live, learn, and work.
To that end, the City of Fayetteville has created this Welcoming Hub: a virtual space designed especially for our foreign-born residents, where you can find helpful information that will make it easier for you to access City services and resources, locate organizations offering educational and job search assistance, and make community connections. Please explore the links and resources we have gathered here, and let us know if you discover additional resources, events, or organizations that should be added. We hope this Welcoming Hub can become a one-stop shop to help our foreign-born neighbors feel right at home.
