Kessler Mountain Jam
Event Information
The Kessler Mountain Jam Challenge offers the opportunity for mountain bikers of all ages and abilities to put in some miles on the beginner/intermediate trails at Kessler without the pressure of race day and in a way that is safe and acceptable during the pandemic. Through Strava and our social media platforms of Instagram and Facebook, participants will have the opportunity to engage with fellow riders whether it be to compare ride times, post selfies, share friendly banter, or foster a stronger sense of comradery with other Kessler enthusiasts.

Registration
Registration is available online until August 31 at 11:59pm. Registration is required and includes great swag! $10 for juniors (7-14) and $25 for adults (15+). Kessler Mountain Jam branded trucker hat, water bottle, and more included with registration! Mailing option also available
How to Participate
1.) Register online between July 15 - August 31
2.) Download the Strava app
2a.) Join the Kessler Mountain Jam club on Strava
2b.) Find the Kessler Mountain Jam Challenge routes on Strava
3.) Go Ride! The challenge dates are August 1-31.
3a.) Record yourself on Strava
3b.) Ride the specified number of laps for your category
4.) Share your ride beta!
4a.) Post your ride activity on Strava and share in the group
4b.) Share your ride photo(s) on social media, tagging @fayettevilleparksandrec and using #kesslerjam #itsaboutjamtime
Upon conclusion of the challenge, participant packets will be available for pick up or by mail, a summary of participation will be shared, and raffle prize winners will be announced.
Packet Pick Up
Saturday, August 29, 8-10am at the Kessler Mountain Trailhead
Thursday, September 3, 7-9am and 4-6pm at the Kessler Mountain Trailhead
Those who choose the “mail my packet” option - packets will be mailed out between September 3-8.

Adult Course (4.5 mile loop): Last Call, Crazy Mary/Trent (connector), Serpentine, Eggbeater, Spellbound, Crazy Mary (connector) Chinkapin Oak, Terrapin Station (connector), back to Last Call.

If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities for you such as event set up, participant check in, timing assistants and course monitors.
