Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run
Event Information
The City’s annual cold weather trail running race at Kessler Mountain Regional Park. The Frozen Toes 5K & 15K Trail Run is perfect for runners looking to transition from a 5K or 10K to a longer distance OR for those who want to try their first trail running race. The singletrack trails of Kessler Mountain are technical in most areas, but the views are worth every step of the course! Take a break from the pavement and give trail running a try!
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be in place at the race to protect runners and the trail running community.
2021 will offer both an IN PERSON RACE and a WEEK LONG CHALLENGE registration option. The challenge options entails completing the 5K or 15K on the marked course at Kessler Mountain anytime during the week of the challenge.
In Person Race: Saturday, January 23, 2021. 9:00am. Read our Race Safety Plan approved by ADH.
DIY Challenge: January 24-31, 2021
- Both options include the participant goody bag, featuring the infamous "Frozen Toes Socks"
- Both options include the finisher medal
- Both options will require runners to be self-sufficient (no on course water stations)
- The race will include overall and age group awards
- The challenge will not feature awards
Registration
Registration is closed (1/15). Race is at capacity with 200 runners. The race will be a wave/staggered start.

Friday, January 22, 4-6pm at Kessler Mountain Regional Park (north entry of baseball complex)
Saturday, January 23, 8:30-9:30am at Kessler Mountain Regional Park (baseball complex)
