The City of Fayetteville invites citizens to help maintain and grow our community's urban forest by taking home a FREE tree and/or shrub during the annual Celebration of Trees. Fayetteville Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs staff and the City of Fayetteville Urban Forestry Advisory Board host this local celebration of Arbor Day on a Saturday morning in late October.

In 2015, Fayetteville Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs launched the Fayetteville Race Series, comprising six to eight annual race events that vary between running, cycling, and multi-sport activities. Each event is different and the series offers something for everyone. The Fayetteville Race Series began as a grassroots effort and has continued to grow to become a premier race series in the state of Arkansas.
