Westbound Mt. Comfort Road Lane Closure for Sidewalk Construction

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will begin construction of sidewalk improvements along the north side of Mt. Comfort Rd. between Hidden Creek Dr. and Bridgeport Dr. on Friday, April 21. Construction work will require closing the westbound lane of Mt. Comfort Rd. between Hidden Creek Dr. and Bridgeport Dr. during work hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The street will be open to regular traffic at night and during weekends. The project is estimated to take six weeks to complete.

Flaggers will be present during work hours to control traffic flow. Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

Six-foot wide sidewalks, storm drainage pipes, and curbing will be added along the north side of Mt. Comfort Rd. in three different locations to fill missing sections of sidewalk and curbing. This project will connect existing sidewalks and improve pedestrian safety. To learn more about the City of Fayetteville’s Sidewalk Program and to view 2017 projects, please visit this webpage.
